HALLOWEEN CANDY DRIVE
Woodland School wants to shine a light on families in need?
This Halloween, The B Fund will donate $0.25* to Boston Children’s Hospital for each piece of candy collected from a child’s trick-or-treat bag.
Take 3 EASY STEPS to make a difference and share something sweet with families who are caring for a critically ill child. (*up to $10,000)
1. Select candy from your bag and check it to make sure it is safe!
2. Sort your candy into three piles: candy with nuts, candy without nuts and non-edible treats. Keep these piles separate at all times and then place no more than 20 pieces of candy into one Ziploc bag
3. Include a personalized letter or picture in each bag of candy to brighten their day. Once complete, seal your bag and deliver your items to school. The collection bin will be located in the Main Lobby from
NOVEMBER 1st - 3rd
The B Fund’s mission is to educate and empower individuals to use their time, talents and treasures to raise awareness and funds for families caring for critically ill children. Using its unique curriculum, The B Fund’s programs are designed to highlight the impact of single and collective acts of kindness. Activities are designed to grow a culture of caring, while providing meaningful experiences for children and their families. All proceeds are donated locally, to provide financial and emotional support for families caring for critically ill children.
GILES LAROCHE VISIT~
PTO Authors Program Welcomes Giles Laroche, cut-paper artist and author, to the second grades at Woodland School and Country School on November 8 and 9 (Woodland) and November 15 and 16 (Country). The author-illustrator has worked with and inspired our second graders to think about where they live and how they fit into Community (a curriculum focus). After his library presentations, he will work in individual classrooms and kids will bring home their cut-paper treasures. Brought to the schools with a grant from WEEFC and the volunteers at PTO. Please contact Kristin Barbieri,PTOAuthorsProgram, firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
