What We Do

Together with WEEFC (Weston Education Enrichment Fund Committee) and our school administration/teachers, Creative Arts committee provides enrichment programs in the performing, literary and fine arts in our elementary through middle schools.

Author Visits

Fourth Grade~ Denis Belliveau, In the Footsteps of Marco Polo, to Field School Fourth Grade on January 30th, 31st, and February 2nd.  Denis, a gifted teacher, author, and explorer.  Along with a fellow adventurer and videographer, Denis set off for an adventure In the Footsteps of Marco Polo where they traced Marco Polo's route through the Orient, picking up knowledge, gathering artifacts and filming.  For more information on this performance please contact Kristin Barbieri at krisbrazil@gmail.com

Field School

5th Grade: Valerie Tutson, Tuesday, January 24th at 1:15-2

PTO Creative Arts, in partnership with WEEFC, brings award winning storyteller and  artist Valerie Tutson, to Field School for an exciting performance "The Right to Liberty".  Valerie will recount significant moments from the revoluntionary period in American history, through the eyes of a black resident, the tales of black people held in captivity or in margins of the free black communities.  Come and watch Valerie bring to life the experiences of African Americans during the Colonial and Revoluntionary periods.  For additional information contact Michelle Callanan at mikkicalla@gmail.com
